Comprising hundreds of ethnicities, Indonesia offers various tasty and appetizing traditional foods. Indonesia with all its cuisine richness probably is a heaven for food lovers. However, modernization and globalization have brought threat as well as opportunity on those traditional foods subsistence. Recent trend shows new lifestyle of consuming western fast foods in place of traditional foods. Nevertheless, it's also quite a widely opened chance to promote Indonesian foods internationally.

Indonesian Traditional Food 2006

Stamp issue with theme traditional food is one effort to introduce variety of Indonesian culture to the public. The kind of food that shows in this issue is only some of the variety food in region. Special stamp series traditional food is 3rd issued after the first issued in 2004. Just like previous issue, this time shows kind of traditional food from 4 provinces which represent island in Indonesia territory. It is Pempek from South Sumatra, Gudeg from Yogyakarta, Ayam Betutu from Bali and Aunu Senebre from Papua.

Indonesian Traditional Food 2005

On July 6th 2005 Directorate General of Posts and Telecommunications will issue special stamp series "Indonesian Traditional Food" which is second issuance after the first one in 2004. On the same day, PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) will also publish the First Day Cover. As far as issuance before, the stamp's design theme are various traditional food from 4 provinces which represent of island in Indonesian region. As to object of stamp's design on this issuance are Sayur taoco (North Sumatra), Nasi Timbel (West Java), Soto Banjar (South Kalimantan), and Langga Roko (South Sulawesi).

Since pho hoa shuts down, I finally found The long lost Vietnamese noodles in town.
Yeah, Vietnamese noodles! It is one of my favorite noodles and I made a pho hoa's noodles as a measurement standard of taste!
Maybe it sounds kinda bit fanatics?!
Well, yea...ehr...
but...
it's the best vietnamese noodles in town I'd ever had!
