Tamnak Thai, Menteng

The first impression of the place...comfy...
The visitors was not that crowded...
And within two days in a row I visited this place. First, it was an unexpected invitation from my colleagues. And Second, I bring my atomic family, since my wife love thai food.

Young Mango Salad

Well, straight to the point!
The first dish that I would like to try in almost every thai cuisine its THE MANGO SALAD! Yea, I like mango salad very much! And within these two days in a row, I had this mango salad! The thin-sliced-young-mango was served on a top of the lettuce. And I'm highly recommended their Young Mango Salad! Its young mango are crunchy, and its taste a bit sweat n' sour...uhm...really raised my appetite!

Since I bring my kid along, we had to order something that he could have for his lunch time! So we ordered, Pineapple fried rice. And I love this one, its taste...yummy! And smells good. And the fried rice its not oily... and my kid love it (this is an important part! ).

One of the important dishes in Thai cuisine-besides those mango salad, its the soup: Tom Yam. The richness of the sour taste blended among the prickling spicy taste. Yes, this menu its an icon in Thai cuisine. And Tamnak Thai didn't disappoint me on this one! (We ordered Tom Yam Seafood)! The richness of its asian spices, the taste the aroma...blended into one pot of soup... *close my eyes* uhmmm... thumbs up for this one!
And its cured my disappointment on ce wei's (sudirman) tom yam...

I dare her to have another menu! And she chose Fried Gurame with chili sauce. Well, The souce its a bit hot mixed with sweet n' sour taste... I'll find it is quite good.

On the day One, we ordered: Pandan Fried Chicken! Well, when its arrived in our table, the aroma flies among us...soft and tempting. And ... surprisingly, the fried chicken fillet wrapped with pandan leaf, taste very soft, the spices were blended within. I am highly recommended this one! Thumbs Up!

On the Day One, we also had Grilled Squid with an Egg (id: Cumi Telor Panggang). This one also catch my attention! Its aroma...the smoked arome! entered my nose, filled up my head with the imagination of its taste... ... and when its come to a the prime time: tasting it! It does not disappoint me! Although its a bit chewy when I try to cut-off the squid with my spoon, its not too chewy in my mouth. Well, the bigger squid the more chewy, so I heard.
I also recommended this one!

Bon Appetite!
